Pétur Eggerz is an experienced commercial 3D and motion graphic designer, with creativity in production as his emphasis.
Falling in love with the creative process was inescapable for Pétur from a young age with is parents running a theatre.
Quickly animation and cinema caught his attention and at the age of 12 he received his first tutoring in post-production. There was no turning back from then.
Before finishing his fine arts studies at secondary school Pétur got accepted two years in advance into the Icelandic school of multimedia (MMS), an upper secondary study that allowed his focus to be on the technical side of production and animation.
By his final year at MMS Pétur had started working as a technical artist/motionographer for Jónsson & Le'macks, one of Iceland’s biggest ad-agency.
The summer after his graduation he worked as a technical director on an animated project with the motion graphic studio Playmo and the media production company Tjarnargatan.
From there he headed to the South of England where he studied Animation Production at the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) from which he graduated (2015) with a BA (hons).
Following graduation Pétur moved back to Iceland at the age of 21 and founded the commercial animation studio Motive Productions, which he ran and directed for two years.
The studio mainly focused on 3D production and design, working on various projects for clients of all shapes and sizes. The studio worked with brands like Kit-kat, whales of iceland, Haribo, Novomatic lottery solutions and Smint to name a few.
Motive Productions handled diverse projects, from creative marketing content to VR-development and Title-sequences.
At his current age of 23 Pétur has collected an impressive amount of hands-on experience, through his education and working on productions with bigger companies as well as leading a studio himself.
Pétur now continues on his journey of creative adventures.
